Kathmandu in full bloom beckons visitors

Kathmandu is for all seasons.

Even when many parts of the world find it hard to cope with the sweltering summer, Nepal's maximum city remains relatively calm, cool and tranquil with maximum temperatures hovering at around  early 30's!

Still, if you find Kathmandu a bit too hot, you can seek refuge in cooler climes of the environs.

Dhulikel beckons with her lush green woods, spectacular views of the Himalayas and so does the picturesque Balthali with its cool climes and sparkling waters. So does Nagarkot with the 360 degree view of the Himalayas, spectacular spectacles of the sunrise and the sunset above the Himalayas!
Neither Daman nor Kuri-Kalinchok is that far. And who knows? If it's raining, snowfall can occur in these two happening tourist destinations, giving you a chance to have fun with the white flakes and build your own snowmen! All these destinations offer nice lodging and fooding facilities.

Well, these are some of the tourist destinations that are just a stone's throw from Kathmandu.

Of course, the usual attractions are always there. The ancient heritage sites of the Kathmandu valley beckon and so do hip destinations for modern travelers. Places like Thamel and Durbarmarg cater even to travelers with modest budget.

For those with religious-spiritual bent of mind and interest in history and archaeology, the valley is a paradise with places of attraction like Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Changunarayan and Malla-era royal palaces of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur and the Narayanhiti Palace of the Shah kings.

Now, lemme use this forum to  talk a bit about an added attraction that makes Kathmandu more beautiful during the summer.
During this season, jacaranda flowers are in full bloom, making a walk around Kathmandu a truly memorable one. Places like Ratna Park, Durbarmarg, Tri-Chandra College, Kamaladi and Thapathali offer you memories that you may want to cherish for years to come. And who knows? You may want to visit the valley time and time again to beat the heat and soak in the beauty of these flowers.
Both first timers and repeat visitors are most welcome to the valley that beckons with flowers and numerous other attractions.

Lemme wrap up this hastily-written piece with hope that the valley will be on the tourist map of the world one day, just like Tokyo adorned with cherry blossoms and Holland with tulips.
Here's hoping that the valley will be on the tourist map of the world one day, just like Tokyo adorned with cherry blossoms and Holland with tulips
